Every Porter piece starts with a 925 sterling silver base finished in sterling silver, white gold or 18k gold vermeil plating. Vermeil and white gold are the finest plating options available: the gold is pressure bonded onto the sterling silver base in thick layers of 2.5-3 microns (while regular plating uses layers of roughly 0.5 micron).

Plated in 18k gold vermeil or white gold, our jewellery resists water and is hypoallergenic (free from copper and nickel), so it is ideal to wear every day. It is made to last many times longer than standard plated jewellery, created to be kept, worn and cherished for years.

Please keep in mind that our pieces are plated in 18K GOLD, known for its warmer, richer tone, pressure bonded onto a sterling silver base. The gold shade you see across the collection on our website faithfully reflects the 18k gold used to make each piece.
